The main attraction is the museum's extensive collection of Aboriginal artifacts, but yes, there's a dinosaur gallery for the kids, too.

A decent climb requiring some energy. However the views when you get to the top are well worth the climb. There are stop off points all the way up for a rest break if needed. So does not need to be too fast a climb.

I went here for work purposes a couple of years ago. I was caring for three young children at the time and took them for a day outing and this is where we ended up. Their favourite part? The playground out the front! Second favourite was probably the bugs. Great informative day out!

The visitors I had loved the place, more so the Dinosaurs and the chance to look at the many things that maybe have never seen prior. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours and even then you will only have scratched the surface. Easy to find the locations and lots of public transport. The many restaurants and cafe's that... More

We managed to visit this museum just before it closed for refurbishment, which promises bigger, better and even more interactive displays when it reopens. Kids had a ball and many exhibits were interactive, so they were learning about our history thru play. The best way to learn in my opinion. Great family day out

I would recommend that take care of the animals in the farm that they have. They look after the museum, pity they can't afford to put more shelter for kangaroos.😡😡😡.. It was a hot day and they were looking for shade. It was pathetic, I'm sure the staff wouldn't like be out in the hot sun and looking for shade... More

Impressive museum with a wide variety of natural history. It's got a freaking whale skeleton. Also the body of some prehistoric fish encased in epoxy or something. Excellent place to visit when in Perth. Free WiFi also available.
