The tour is very informative and it is like a briefing about the history of gold rush. Impressed with the arrangement of the tour.

Our tour guide was very interesting and knowledgable. We learnt a lot about the history of Australia's currency, as well as being able to view some of the staff checking the new coins for any faults. What a tedious job. Their eyesight must be fantastic. You could weigh yourself, and a calculator told you how much your weight was worth... More

Fantastic place to visit! See a real gold coin that weighs ONE TON! See agold por where the furnace is set to 1200 degree. The Incas refer to gold as "tears of the sun!"

It was very interesting to see where they make the gold coins, how they were made & the history. There is also a small shop & coffee shop.

I have been wanting to visit the Perth Mint for a long time and was happy to go on a quiet Saturday morning. Lovely historical building and I also like the display of gold coins and bars.

Weather was bad on our short Perth trip and the Perth Mint was a great and informative find. Kids loved the tour and watching the live gold pour and biggest coin in the world.,We learnt a lot. Attached retail shop is also really good selling everything from coins to pens and cake knives, and reasonably priced -so bring your cash!

Bought some silver coins in the Mint. Do not buy the expensive collector's items but buy the cheaper ones at prices below 35 aud. Nice tour.

The Perth Mint has decided to go for the tourist dollar. Since last I visited it most of the interior has been turned over to selling jewellery in somewhat gaudy styles and coins commemorating such occasions as the Vietnamese Decade of the Budgie - or similar. The giant gold coin and the opportunity to touch a big ingot of gold... More

Interesting tour for all the family but a bit commercial in the sale rooms. I especially liked, in this order, watching the melting and pouring of an ingot of gold, the world’s largest gold coin and finding the day’s dollar value of my weight in gold. Nice café inside with toilets outside.
