Enjoyed the tour

We did the tour which is under an hour, watched gold pour, saw biggest coin in the world, found out our weight in gold. Adults and kids both enjoyed it. Worth doing if in Perth.

Watch real molten gold being poured! Have a souvenir coin printed with the message of your choice to commemorate a special occasion. Comes in a presentation case - fabulous

The Perth mint is a short walk from the free bus route and is easy to find. The tours last a bit over an hour and, as many other have said, take you through the history of gold exploration in Western Australia and finishing up with the gold pour. The guide was excellent and the gold pour probably the highlight...the... More

Rather expensive for what it is really. Some exhibits can be interesting. Just don't lose your head in the gift shop. They are very expensive and touristy

Perth mint is very easy to find and within a short 3 to 5 min walk away from the local Trans Perth Bus Stop. They even have some one to explain the histories of the gold digging and gold mine which is great and the customer service officers all had a friendly smile and ready to answer any enquiries that... The price is quite high, $19 for a 45-60 minutes tour. I read that there is a 1-for-1 discount voucher in one of the Perth guide booklet. It was not in the "Hello Perth" booklet that we had. Our guide, Danny, was very enthusiastic and told very interesting history. We went further to watch a short movie and we could... More

We visited The Perth Mint (Family of 5) and undertook the guided tour. The kids were fascinated by the gold pouring demonstration and weighing themselves to see how much they would be worth if they were a gold nugget. High recommended

Visited - 24/04/17 - 14:30 We went as a bit of a joke but were pleasantly surprised. The reviews were so good on TripAdvisor, but thinking it was going to be a bit boring and geeky I kept joking that I was going to make my friends go...I said it so much that I talked myself into wanting to go,... This was one of the best tours I have ever experienced. The guide was informative and funny. You must see the largest gold coin in the world (1 ton). The gold pour was entertaining. The shop is excellent. They have many commemorative coins. You can have a coin engraved for you (reasonable!!).

Tour guide talked about the nuggets and history before bringing us in to see a short video clip and also the 1 tonne gold coin. The most interesting would be the gold pour and how the liquid hardened very quickly to be a solid gold bar.
