This park is an oasis of tranquility in the busy city of Perth. Apart from the beautifully manicured lawn, there is a pond, which accommodates a number of waterfowl. Harold Boas was an architect and town planner, who did much to make Perth the pleasant city it is today. Harold Boas was also o prominent member of the Jewish community; he was a founding member of the Temple David. By the way, Harold Boas Gardens is a popular place for wedding photography.

Harold Boas (1883-1980) was an architect and town planner, who left the city of Perth a better place than he found it. Among the many structures he designed is the Nedlands Park Hotel, better known to generations of UWA students as Steve's. Boas served on the Perth City Council, and was influential in planning the city's expansion.Boas was prominent in the Jewish community. He was a founder and life member of the Temple David. These pleasant garden,s at the corner of Welllington St and Colin St, are a fitting memorial to a man who gave much to his city. The gardens are popular for weddings

Hidden away in the inner suburbs. Quite a lovely park, with a rather lovely gardens in it. A great place to sit in the morning, or at lunch, particularly with a cup of tea, or coffee.

I stumbled upon these enchanting gardens when taking a walk from my West Perth hotel and was so pleased to find them. They are beautifully maintained with mature trees and 'natural-looking' garden beds, lawns, a babbling brook cum waterfall, a couple of ponds, and of course lots of resident ducks. Designed and maintained as an idyllic sylvan landscape - or fantasyland? - I can understand why the gardens are apparently so popular for weddings.

This park is right near work so thought I'd visit before work one morning. Colleagues had advised not to go after work because it's getting darker earlier now and apparently it's popular with homeless.

On my early morning visit I found the leftovers of an empty bottle of alcohol (spirits) and some soft drink bottles.

Apart from that, it was very clean and gardeners were here doing some general maintenance.

It's a lovely little park with man made waterfall and ponds. There's a few birds and ducks here. Very peaceful.

I'm glad I visited, however prefer Queens Gardens down the other end of town or Kings Park.

Situated not far from the city centre towards the end of Wellington Street in West Perth, it's easily accessible via the free CAT bus service - (green stop 8/yellow stop 18). It's well maintained and tranquil with plenty of shaded areas, streams and ponds. Take a picnic or just relax and enjoy!

A quiet and relaxing park in a silent neighbourhood. An excellent place to spend some time reading or just having a nap in the grass. Weddings are celebrated there from time to time.

Harold Boas Gardens is tranquil City Retreat, with gently flowing stream, ponds below the cool canopy of large shade trees.. Only 300m from City West Railway Station, or across the road from the Free Yellow Central Area Transit ( Free CAT bus.) which travels from East Perth and return frequently through the day.. A great place to meet up for a picnic - before or after visiting Watertown or Citywest.

I guess area 2 is the most stunning as it has the waterfall as a backdrop and the entrance is by a quaint bridge and is surrounded by a cute little river. There is a public toilet in the park but the only negative is parking can be difficult.
