Getting a taxi at 440am I was doubting why I wanted to see sunrise at Kings Park... WOW it was fantastic, just a wonderful way to see the city.

Situated on the King Park hill overlooking the city, freeway and river, the memorial is the meeting place for tourists and events relating to past wars. Excellent location for photos of Perth. The memorial is on two levels. Underneath are the names of fallen soldiers....More

We had about three hours there and could have very easily spent the rest of the day the 180 degree view across the Swan river is spectacular. There are a number of bus tours available if you don't fancy the walking.

Lovely place to chill out and also soak in remembrance of the past. Place is unsuitable to access w/o personal transport. A distance to walk if by public.

I have visited many times and recently was there for the 100 year Rememberance Day Commemorative Service. What a wonderful service to remember the men and women who gave their lives in all past wars.
