The park is nice, quiet and relaxing with fresh air. The scenery is perfect with these different flowers blooming fantastic colours. The tulips are gorgeous! The falls and the lake brings this cool fresh breeze to the park. With a nice river flowing to the pond. It's a must see place a tropical adventure.

It's also a lovely park to have a picnic or have lunch at the cafe. You can buy snacks and coffee too if you like.

There was a small train to take visitors for a tour of the gardens for those who do not wish to walk.

A really nice spot to spend an hour or three on a sunny day. It's best you visit and see for yourself.

A park with no atmosphere and staff that don’t even say hello . Wasted $10 per person to enter a park with a very basic and minimal cafe . The Chalet Healy is a huge draw card but was closed due to if being off season apparently?? Gardens we’re ok but nothing to return for a second visit . Was basically a bush walk with wonky paths and no access to old buildings. Won’t be returning or advising anyone to go there .

We visited these Stunning gardens during the tulip festival in late September 2022. Really enjoyed our time although some of the tulips were past their best and it was very crowded but it was a public holiday so that was to be expected. Wait for parking was approx. half an hour and the parking queue was worse by the time we left at midday. Main cafe was only open from 11 - 2 which is really disappointing on such a busy day. I recommend you take a picnic to avoid queuing.

Took my parents here for my dads birthday. He is unwell and quite mobility impaired. The line to get into the carpark took more than half an hour with one staff member working very very hard. The flowers and grounds are stunning, however the other facilities are less than average. The toilets are primarily portaloos which are not suitable for someone who needs assistance as they cannot fit two people in them while maintaining one’s dignity. The “cafe” is more of a very very basic deli and most of the food trucks were closed. The park was packed with guests who would all have liked to buy something to eat other than an icecream or a juice.

Araluen's website claims that the park, some .paths are accessable. We and many other manual wheelchair visitors to the Tulip Festival found the following;
The Acrod available parking was at the bottom of the hill. Access from this carpark was up an unsealed path to an undulating brick path to the lowest area only. We required assistance to achieve this little access. Returning to the carpark was very dufficult. There is only 2 wide acrod bays, allowing for a cardoor to be fully opened. There are several smaller bays, totally unsuitable for wheelchair user. After speaking to staff /volunteers it was stated that the intention was for wheelchair and walkers to only access this lower terrace. This is not made clear on their website or facebook page. I also found it interesting that the staff/volunteer didn't know who I could contact to make a complaint.
If there wet weather the damp on the bricks would make access extremely dangerous.

2 of us were charged $35 each on arrival at 3pm, with only 2 hrs before closing, only to find most things already shut.

The actual number of tulips were limited, with many flowers yet to bloom. Does not compare to true festivals also held in Vic and ACT, at half the cost!

The gift tent was empty with no staff and only a few brochures on display.

Chalet Healy Provided terrible slow service where we waited 20 mins to be served Luke-warm coffees despite only 5 other tables being occupied .

We then arrived at the good van area at 4pm seeking better coffees and some food. One hot food van (Fusion) and White Rabbit van had already shut and Ministry of Food had stopped serving.

Rubbish bins in the area were overflowing.

No entertainment or activities were present between 3-5pm.

A waste of money and very disappointing. I trying to phone the only number listed for Araluen goes to an already full mailbox- presumably complaints!

We make an annual pilgrimage to Araluen for the tulip festival but have decide not to go again. It’s a big event these days which is fine but it’s become very expensive to get in $90 for a family and the attitude of the staff we encountered (traffic control and ticket lady) was less than welcoming. Spoils the nice feeling and excitement of being there.

A beautiful place at this time of year. The tulips are at their best. Azaleas & Camelias are in full bloom.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
For patrons with mobility problems there is a train that will take you around some of the steep places for $5
The Chalet Healy food is good. Was very busy the day we were there & we had to wait awhile for a seat & a meal.
A wonderful day out in a beautiful place.

We went to the tulip festival. Three adults and one teenager. $75. They were still charging full price for the “tulip” festival yet the tulips were all dead. They shouldn’t charge $20 per person for dead flowers. Maybe half price or maybe let people know that it’s not flowering anymore before they decide to go or at the entry. Or even finish the event once the flowers have died… The place would be beautiful when flowering but it was disappointing with this.
