Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Took a bit of effort to find it. We had really enjoyed Hosier Lane so ACDC lane was a bit of a letdown from the street art perspective. Still, glad we checked it out.

What a better way to tribute the greatest band in the history of Australia than with art that could be described a subversive. It’s a non-traditional type of art that’s for the people, not the gallery snobs. It’s awesome. I loved it.

AC/DC have been honored by having a street named after them. It runs north-south off Flinders Lane, between Russell and Exhibition Streets. It's a small and narrow street, but how many hard rock bands have a road named after them? AC/DC fans will love it, including the street art.

ACDC Lane lauds Australia's greatest hard rock band. ACDC :Lane runs off Flinders Lane, between Exhibition and Russell Streets. The wall art is of variable quality. As the song says "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n roll."

AC/DC are the greatest hard rock band Australia has ever produced. I saw them 40 years ago, when they were still a pub band, but obviouly bound for glory. ACDC Lane runs off Flinders Lane, between Exhibition and Russell Streets, running roughly north-south. The lane has street art; as for quality, it's pot luck.

Corporation Lane was renamed AC/DC Lane on 1 October 2004 in honour of Australia's greatest hard rock export. It's a short and narrow lane, running roughly north-south between Exhibition Street and Russell Street, off Flinders Lane. AC/DC filmed their celebrated music video "It's a Long Way to the Top if You Want to Rock and Roll" in Swanston Street, which runs parallel to AC/DC Lane. The lane has some impresive graffiti.

Given that it is called AC/DC Lane, one could expect lots of AC/DC street art but I counted just 4 pieces. There seemed to be more art of other musicians, street art and the usual spoiling of delinquent graffiti. As someone who grew up with their music, this lane was a let down.

AC/DC have the reputation for being Australia's greatest hard rock band. AC/DC are known throughout the world for their rock and roll performances. AC/DC Lane commemorates these hard rockers. The AC/DC Lane runs off Linders Lane, between Russell St and Exhibition St. Seek and ye shall find.

AC/DC is Australia's greatest hard rock band. As they say "it's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll." Now they have a street named after them. There's also some wall art celebrating these rock and rollers.

Put your ear pods in and blast some dirty deeds.
Take some time to admire the excellent artwork. Shame the walkway isn’t kept in better condition, be careful not to trip over an empty VB, uneven and pretty worn down in some areas. Well lit with natural light, we visited around 11am on a pretty gloomy Melbourne day.
