We had been planning on going ice skating for like ever. Obrien Arena has 2 full-size rinks. One for skating and one for sports like ice hockey. The open skating rink was fun... read more

Great skating, great staff. But for a venue run by a catering company - and with their policy of prohibiting external food - it is very disappointing. The cafe is expensive and offers limited fresh or healthy options. Mostly just hot dogs and chips etc. Some sandwiches that are obviously not made on site. With the many options available a... More

We have been skating here before and it was OK but this visit was poor. There were no staff around at all at one point and there were kids playing ice hockey and chucking balls around. It was rubbish and there were several of us complaining. The staff seemed disinterested when the guy ahead of me complained. The young manager... More

We had been planning on going ice skating for like ever. Obrien Arena has 2 full-size rinks. One for skating and one for sports like ice hockey. The open skating rink was fun with disco lights and music playing. There is a cafe onsite and lockers to store your personals while skating. Great way to spend an afternoon with the... More

As a skater from 20 years ago I was expecting the usual ice skating experience. I was pleasantly surprised by how it has changed over the years. This place has it just right. Good ice, good skates, good food and great staff. With 2 ice rinks there is plenty of room to skate. The support devices are really handy for... More

This is a state of the art ice rink. The facilities are great and there are two olympic sized rinks.

Decided to go Ice skating with family & friends (including young children).. It was a great idea that turned into a great night. You can skate for as long as you want whilst dancing and skating to the music that is on the large screen. Remember it's quite cool in there however you get warmed up pretty quick when your... More

This is the first time I visit this place. Even in winter, this place is still popular for kids. There are a lot of people on ice and you need to watch the "traffic" and be careful... It is good to see there are staffs with first aid kit skate around and help people. The overall experience is quite good.... More

A wonderland for the kids. Just learning to ice skate the kids were provided support aids until they were confident enough to go it alone. A great time had by the whole family, thank you to the wonderful staff for their help and support.

You can head to the Ice Rink to watch the Ice Hockey (Melbourne Ice or Melbourne Mustangs), learn how to skate, play ice hockey or curling or get together with friends and have a skate with some music pumping. Great for all ages with aids for young children to sit on or hold onto until they get the hang of... More

I attended the arena as part of a friend's daughter's 8 year birthday party. The party hosts girls provided by the arena were very friendly. We had over 20 children and during the lesson, the teacher-student ration was not enough. It was very hard to hear the girls screeching over the background noise. One had to hire the push-along "seals"... More
