This is the first street art street after our lunch at Betty @Elizabeth Street.
Weather suddenly turns hot on our 7th day in Melbourne.

Runs into ACDC Lane and is another of Melbourne's street art lanes ways. Much of the art here has been there a while and is not vandalised like the art in Hossier Lane.

Interesting laneway loop of Duckboard Place and AC/DC Lane off Flinders Lane. Various restaurants and street-art/graffiti. This lane also has historical significance as an area for World War II troops to visit for R&R.

Duckboard Place bleeds into ACDC lane and it's hard to know where one starts and one ends. I had random chats in the lane with overseas tourists who were loving the Melbourne vibe and the random artwork. It says a lot that we can draw tourists to alleyways. :)
Once the place where World War II troops came to be entertained and let off steam, the lane now attracts a more discerning punter. Covered head to toe in street art and gig posters, the lane is home to innovative Chinese eatery Lee Ho Fook, the Indian-inspired flavours of Tonka, Danish steakhouse A Hereford Beefstouw and the Mary Fortune wine bar.
It's worth stopping in ... and walking through to ACDC lane.

There is more to this lane than you might think from first glance with some quirky artwork (some better than others) and a load of atmosphere and some interesting restaurants.Take time and look at some of the art work as it is quite interesting and often over-looked compared to AC.DC around the corner.Also try Lee Ho Fook, Tonka and Pastuso and they are good.

The art is clever and interesting but Duckboard Place could also be described as quite grotty and bordering on unpleasant because of trash and trash bins and general untidyness. There are some interesting restaurants in the lane and worthy of a look and go for the art, some of which is very good.

There are some tall graffiti here. Two storey a or higher. Really amazed at how the artist can paint something so large when remained at a close distance to the wall. Takes great vision.

One of the better street art laneways in the CBD. Added bonus of joining up with AC/DC lane. A number of great eateries also call this lane home

Continuing on from AC/DC Lane will lead you to this lane. More street art, posters and graffiti. There are restaurants along either side and it may get quite lively once they are open.

It curves its way from Flinders Lane and back to AC/DC Lane, packing in an eyefull of street art on its walls. Stopped for a light eat at Tonka, where Indian dishes are served beneath a cloud-like art installation.
