Beautiful views but a little scary as the wind is very strong and the inside rail is quite low. Dangerous especially for cyclists.

OK, so I drive across this thing twice a day and it still looks cool. The drivers... well.... that is another thing. The thing has been here for sometime and it has a dark history. Its collapse was a sad disaster for some and made some very much money and added to the contemporary folklore of Hobart. Great views from... More

The Tasman Bridge is a very narrow bridge carrying traffic east out of Hobart across the river. There is no partition between the opposite flowing traffic. There is a 70 km speed limit with speed cameras at the ends of the bridge and with its steepness, speed can get away from you. If staying in Hobart you need to use... More

Fabulous places to see and people to meet. It had a feel of Scotland but with a different atmosphere.

We crossed this on the drive from the airport but didn't know the story behind the accident until we did the river trip. Fascinating account of what happened and how they repaired it

Learn about its history and the boat crash a few decade's back. This is the landmark of the city, and main way to airport.

There are speed cameras mounted either side of the road, and of course they are located as you are going down the 'hill' side of the bridge. The lanes change according to peak hour too

Great views over a wonderful countryside. This is also a construction whihc has been designed to blend with the scenery. Nice stop on your route to wherever.

First time I crossed the bridge I was pointed out the uneven placements of the supports. This was put down to the captain of a ship hitting the original and a new one one built to make it safe.
