Im a tasmanian who works in tourism. Wandered and browsed the space on my way out for lunch and Salamanca market. Girl sitting behind desk never even looked up at me or the other couple who were also browsing. I would expect some level of service if i was about to spend a large sum of money? Some of the... This is one of the very few shops in Hobart which I really found had very nice and trendy and original pieces of jewellery, furniture etc.

Pleasantly surprised by the in depth details of the designs. Lovely old building on Constitutional Dock. Excellent art and highly interesting even for an 8 year old!

This is a peaceful upmarket place worth a wuick browse. Everything will be good quality, and there is no rubbish or trinkets or cheaply made stuff. Its all made by craftsmen and artists. Great little spot for a short browse if you have not much time and need something upmarket, and a bit more valuable $$.

Mix of stuff on display for sale, aimed at the cruise ship market, with local products, but high prices.

Of course there is a bit of tack in this gallery but there are also some wonderful objects. Janty Fry's jewellery made a big impression and so did some of the handcrafted furniture made from Tasmanian timbers.

We found this gallery by accident just walking around the waterfront area. It's on the opposite side of the harbour to the Salamanca markets and is well worth a visit

We visited Hobart recently and found tucked away near the waters edge the Henry Jones Design gallery. Great historical buildings with just as good atmosphere, the purpose of the visit was a cocktail evening and found the service catering for the large numbers attending to be adequate. The food offering were limited but were of a very good quality.

Was really looking forward to a birthday celebration in this highly regarded restaurant. Found the food combinations a little odd, struggled to find something on the menu that appealed. Will not return.
