Step inside Australia's oldest operating brewery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Wellington, to learn how Cascade has been crafting beer since 1832. Our guides will share Cascade's fabled recipe; a dash of history, a healthy dose of Tasmania's finest ingredients and a generous serve of brewing craft. You can take a tour or just relax and enjoy Cascade beers and Mercury ciders, savour a delicious lunch and wander our three acres of heritage gardens. The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week between 10am - 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas day and tours operate daily.

The tour was good fun. The tour guide, Jeremy, had a good sense of humor and shared a lot of interesting facts about the brewery. Definitely a place with interesting history. Would have been good to see some actual production though. I think they can/should...More

Called in to see this old historic brewery and had a quiet beer at the same time. Very well maintained place with beautiful gardens all in the backdrop of the old brewery. Prices were good, would have liked to have done the tour.

I did the brewery tour on a Monday morning and had my own private tour! It was fantastic, informative, and because the brewery wasn't operational that day (cleaning) it meant we got to walk through areas that would normally be off limits. You learn a...More

For an infrequent beer drinker, I was surprised by how interesting the brewery tour was. Informative guide, with interesting anecdotes about the history of the brewery and the area. And topped off with tokens to sample 4 glasses of the beers, stout and/or ciders of...More

We had a wonderful afternoon at the brewery. The tour guide Tim was brilliant, full of local information. The beers and ciders were great. Being minus degrees the dark ale or mulled cider is the go! It got pretty busy there at lunchtime.

Check the tour timing and book it! The tour around the brewery was informative. Understand their past and how the beer was made. Enjoy 4 free 7oz beer at the end of the 75mins tour (:

The tour of the Cascade Brewery was great, the tour guide was very informative, but if you go, make sure you eat at the restaurant! The food and their beer and ciders were fantastic. The gardens out back are also very nice.

It would be no problem to use the tokens with lunch as it is basically all the same area. It is a very nice space looking out onto the stunning gardens so I am sure you will enjoy it!
