We had a day trip up to Ben Lomond and took a ski lesson as we had not skied before. It was fun and a great day. We want to go again for a weekend soon. It all seemed rather expensive but was worth it.

We went on a Saturday, the snow was excellent and had been well advertised. The resort itself is reasonable for a small resort. There is a bar and a cafe both serve food and they are both warm and cozy. You can hire snow gear...More

This is a great little place for those beginners learning to ski or toboggan. No crowds and a friendly little family running the ski school. (The family running the chair lifts is a another story, they are scary....) I recommend coming here for your first...More

We came to Ben Lomond for a belated birthday outing for our son. We only hired tabaggons but the kids had fun. Lots of snow on the 7th August when we were there so it was a good experience. We had to go into Launceston...More

Prior to visiting the Ben Lomond Ski Resort, I had never seen snow or skied. The equipment hire and lessons were reasonable for someone on a budget. It was good to see a good cover of snow, though the rain started making it hard. Not...More

I hit this place at the very beginning of the season. Not a lot of snow but what was there was great for beginners like myself. Great staff and views to die for. I'll head back when the snow is cranking.

We wanted to see snow so while in Tasmania so we decided Ben Lomond was our best option. There is a long winding road where you eventually need to park and switch to a privately operated 4WD to take you to the top of the...More

Just missed out on the ski season, so instead we went hiking west of the ski field and came across and old alpine lodge and saw plenty of wallabies and 3 wombats!

Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly! If you dont have a car acceptable to take up the mountain they pick you up and take you back down for a small cost. The ski fields arent massive but they are still huge and covered in snow....More

The only cost is the $50 fee to take the "official" jeep up to the mountain. Once you're there, you can play in the snow and you won't be charged. However I'm sure they charge a lift pass fee but not sure how much it is.
