For a lady to dig this out in 10 years in the heat is an achievement on its own. She was employed to cook for the miners but got the sack because she refused to cook green meat.

Lovely caretakers that take you through where they actually live and look after the home. Was lovely to see how many live underground in Coober Pedy.

Very intersting and informative tour. Gave a great insight into how Coober Pedy is mined, and what life there is like. Well worth the tour, $10 per person well spent.

What an amazing woman Faye was! Hearing all about her achievements and seeing her home was such a pleasure as it brought back memories of the olden days. We did the mine tour as well which was so interesting.

It was an easy walk, perhaps ten minutes. And, it was interesting!
