The Adelaide Parklands are a world-class treasure. They surround the city and provide a perfect refuge for locals and visitors. Elder Park overlooks the Torrens River and is a perfect spot for a picnic. In normal pre-covid times there are tegular events and concerts.

Great parklands to enjoy a picnic or a relaxing afternoon. We spent our afternoon here after exploring the city. Great to sit and overlook the river and the people along the riverwalk. One of Adelaide’s oldest parks I read whilst there.

Walk the torrens river (recommended from the River Cafe to Adelaide Zoo) for great views of the city. Nice and flat and easy to stay to the left to allow all to pass.

Just off North Terrace. See many Adelaide sights from Elder park. Stroll the banks of the Torrens River or take a boat ride. Its a good starting point to get your bearings. There is always something happening here and a must visit site for visitors to the city.

Lovely park with cafe and public toilets. There is a tourist boat on the river which you can use to visit the zoo

Very nice park with amazing views of the city, river and Adelaide Oval. Right next to the casino if you are visiting there also.

On our way back from North Adelaide we drove along the park. It was very quiet and well-maintained by the city council.

Visited on Thursday 27th February. This is a great park close to the city and somewhere you can go to enjoy views of the Torrens River as it winds it's way through Adelaide.
