Nice place to have a long walk in a sunny day, starting from Adelaide Convention Centre, Railway Station, Parliament House, Adelaide University and end up in the Botanic Garden - plenty of colonial buildings and churches along the path. Very enjoyable.

An interesting area to walk. The historic and new buildings are an interesting mixture. Art gallery, museum, university all make a pleasant stroll. The western end has building works in place.

Having lived in Adelaide for several years and coming back regularly to visit Mum, it has been interesting witnessing the metamorphis of North Terrace, from the new hospital, the "Cheese Grater" and the new Convention Centre it seem to be ongoing - keep it up.

There is so much to see here it is impossible to appraise in a day's visit. From just Kintore Ave to Pulteney St attractions include the Migration Museum, the State Library Complex, the SA Museum and the SA Art Gallery. All have regularly updated displays/exhibitions as well as the ongoing. I would recommend a focus on the Library complex, as... More

I had never visited the gardens before this, and can't believe I hadn't. What an interesting place, and so peaceful too. I loved my visit, even though I was alone.

North Terrace is definitely on of the toffier parts of Adelaide and should be given how much public money has been poured into it. Like a lot of Adelaide it changes character after dark and not for the better.
