Amazing market - mostly food. Wonderfully clean with an incredible range of meats , fish, veg, fruit, pastries etc etc. Some sit down cafes too. Well worth a visit

Popped in for a late afternoon snack and a few beers. Struggled to decide what and where to eat. Oh the choices!!!? Ended up having some pizza slices cooked in a wood fired oven. Seriously!! Fresh bread, deli meats and loads of snacks and treats. Didn’t know where to look and wished I lived in the city. You guys in Adelaide are so lucky. Loved it, highly recommended.

one of the best markets I have ever been to. the array of food was amazing. every type of food is catered for including vegan. so much good food to choose from and in general, the prices are very good. not only food to take home but several places to have a meal at as well. coffee shops also and a bar. very popular place, we went during the week, I am guessing weekends are hectic.

Ultimately it’s a market but it wasn’t massively busy on a weekday even with the lunch rush. There is a good selection of food vendors and fresh produce. Probably 10 minutes from the middle of Rundle Mall and the route is sign posted. At Xmas, just look for the massive Santa. Toilets are somewhat ropey with a strange dated tat-shop filled mall on the side which looked very sad compared to the hustle of the market.

During our 3-4 day stint in Adelaide, we stopped at the market a couple of time to pick up groceries and to have sit-down meals. The market is easy to navigate and contains every kind of fresh and prepared food under the sun. Highlights included Sì, Sea and the falafel joint. Make this a destination when staying in the 20-minute city.

Really nice place. Despite the crowds, it's nice and cool compared to the heat outside. Great artisan food venues and catered well for vegans in our family. Loved the various bar venues and the artisan gins as well. Definitely worth a visit for lunch and a drink.

As markets go around Australia, Adelaide Central had a large number of suppliers of high standard, quite diverse in the product offerings and overall good quality. As good, if not better than South Melbourne and Prahran in Melbourne. Overall a good experience.

I was on a work trip to Adelaide and this was recommended for our last evening and I wish that we'd been told about it before our last night. Absolutely amazing market with a huge variety of food stalls, restaurants etc. We had some gorgeous dessert after dinner in a lovely Mexican restaurant (separate review). If you're going to Adelaide, this is a definitely a place not to miss.

Fun place to visit, with excellent food stalls. But the food is very expensive. Go and browse, have a bite to eat, enjoy the vibe. But maybe limit your purchases to special items that you cant get elsewhere at a better price.

A visit to the Central Market in Adelaide is almost a must. The market is big, busy and sells mostly fresh fruit and veges. There is also a few seafood stands as well as other different items that you might find in markets such as nuts, dried fruit, bakery products as well as non-food items. If you want to taste South Australian oysters, they are probably cheapest here. Other seafood however seem to be quite expensive. Oysters and baked cheesecake for dinner. Yum !!
