Terrific zoo with great exhibitions and very accessible

Wide range of wildlife in pleasant surroundings. Well designed enclosures allow good viewing. Very easy to get to in the centre of the city near the pleasant riverbank area.

Not as big as Melbourne zoo but a great place for the kids and alike. Obviously the panda is a must see. Panda is kept entertained and super clean. Members of Melbourne zoo can go for free but every person must bring your membership card and photo id (we had to call Melbourne zoo to verify our details as we... More

We went to see the Pandas ,and did but before we went around two of us had injuries so the other two decided we should ride around in a wheel chair which you can hire making it much easier to get a round. There is alot of walking mainly flat ground but if elderly I would suggest the w/chair there... More

If you want to experience Australian animals and enjoy a trip to the zoo, then this is the place to be. Lots of animals to see and makes a great day out. The cafe is more of junk food based cafe with chips and hotdogs etc. You can take your own food in, so if you like picnics then why... More

Pretty expensive for a family of 6 to gain entry. Also good prices are too pricey. What was really disappointing was that the Panda enclosure was closed and you are not made aware of this until you have paid and walk through. We only went to see the Pandas! Not much else to see need more animals and variety and... More

Very good people work at the zoo. They all seem excited to be working there and keen to help you where they can. They are a bit slow in the shop but the guys at the rock face are fantastic. The animals were looking good even in very hot conditions. Loved it!

If you are able to visit the Adelaide Zoo & also the Monarto Zoo, by all means do! It's cheaper to buy a double-entry pass & the experience is more than twice better. The Adelaide Zoo is great for anyone, but especially for families, including birthday parties. At the Monarto Zoo, the tours are in a bus & it's possible to... More

We had a great day at the zoo. Plenty of space to walk on the paths between exhibits. Everything was nice and clean and we found places to sit to take breaks. I'd recommend making this a full day attraction. There is a café just inside the entry where you can purchase water and snacks.

It has been decades since i went to the zoo. There are some really great enclosures like the pandas, tigers, tamarins and monkeys. The lions and giraffes need an overhaul though. Plenty of facilities and food with a great playground with big climbing frame. There was plenty of shade on a sunny day as well. Combined it with a ride on... More
