It is an attractive building that is definitely worth a look. There is a big contrast in style and color with the newer addition behind it.

South Australia is well-known for its civic awareness, and the Town Hall is a fine example of Adelaide's community spirit. From the famous balcony, the Beatles greeted their greatest-ever crowd, numbering over 300,000. The magnificent organ is a landmark in itself. The Town Hall is worth inspecting, it's a conspicuous memorial to the pioneering days of South Australia.

We held a meet and greet here with about 100 people. The main chambers are big enough to handle us easily. Just a short walk for the major hotels.

Adelaide Town Hall hosts a diverse collection of functions and concerts. Audiences are attracted by the Town Hall's mix of elegance and grandeur.. It's most famous moment was the crowd that greeted the Beatles, who waved to over 300,000 people from the Town Hall's balcony, their largest ever crowd. The Town Hall has regular performances by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. This landmark building was completed in 1866.

Very worth while looking inside this building. It is beautiful and well preserved. You can wander around the ground floor and first floor by yourself, and look at the historic items on display. Two musts on the 1st floor are the balcony and the organ. The balcony has views over King William Road and the city, be amazed at the beauty of the balcony and stand on the same balcony that the Beatles stood on. The organ is enormous and beautiful.

Opened in 1866, this is quite an impressive old building but sadly its tower ,named after Prince Albert, the guy with Queen Vic, and sadly, the reason for the lower review is shorter than the tower of the GPO over the road named after Queen Victoria. How devastating for Albert. Fortunately the GPO did not host the Beatles in 1964 so Albert had his day. The visit did not allow a look-see inside but all fun aside it is an impressive building and yes, it deserves a higher rating.
