Visited white haven beach yesterday on a two night tour with power play cataraman. While the white haven beach is pretty that's about all there is to say. There aren't any shops, restaurants, bars or even toilets on the beach so very limited. Nice but overall disappointed with whitsundays the other islands were less pretty and just green with trees... i've seen pictures, but it's nothing compared to standing there and seeing one of the most amazing places in this world! i can only recommend getting on a sailboat and sailing the whitsundays, stopping at whitehaven beach. it's definately been one of the most memorable stops during my trip on the east coast of Australia

No matter where I've travelled, Whitehaven Beach is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stingers are present in the waters mainly in the summer months so light stinger suits are advisable for swimming. Winter months are most spectacular, sailing or boating anywhere at any time in the Whitsundays automatically creates a feeling of serenity and tranquillity.... More

What can I add that hasn't been said about this magnificent beach, regularly in the world's top beaches and deservedly so. The sand so fine and white, the water clear clean and of beautiful colours and the area so tranquil. And there are kilometres of it. If the chance comes and you are in the region, don't miss it. Best when... More

Visited the Whitsunday Islands with a sailing trip on the Samurai sailing boat! The whole trip was AMAZING and one I will never ever forget. The sailing boat we traveled on was Samurai and the crew were fantastic and really made a memorable trip. The pictures of the Whitsunday islands don't do the area justice, it is just the most... We flew in to whitehaven beach by sea plane which we caught from Airly beach. It is always busy and the sand is as the name says it all as it is pure white and soft under foot. The whitsunday area looks beautiful from the air but as for swimming its not recommended unless U wear a stinger suit.

Tis is a stunningly beautiful beach. If flying over, the photographs you take are recognisably Whitehaven. this beach looks like no other. Sailing over and lingering in the azure blue waters is a lovely thing to do, but like in the other posts, be careful as the sandfly bites will stay with you for months and who wants to be... More

Really?? A beach where you have to wear head-to-toe protection against deadly jelly fish?? Sorry, not MY idea of a great beach. There are so many beautiful beaches in the world where this is not an issue WHY would you consider this in even the to 50??

Absolutely stunning, super soft stand .. even beautiful when its cloudy! We took a scenic flight and also a boat trip to get views from both perspectives! An absolute must to visit amongst the Whitsunday Islands!

No wonder Whitehaven Beach is in the world's top 10 for beach destinations. I have seen a lot of beaches around the world and this is in my top 2 - just a shame that there is such limited time to enjoy the location.
