There are many walking trails in Hamilton island. We opted the few of the lookouts in during our day trip to Hamilton island. The first destination was One tree hill lookout.Upon arrival at the Hamilton island marina, you have an option of book a buggy car or walk...More
The Passage Peak climb is definitely a massive challenge that requires a half decent fitness level to tackle... The climb is steep, lots and lots and lots of stairs but just when you think you have had enough you reach the top and the absolutely...More
Steep climb, lots of sweating, many of those "I'm pretty sure I can't go any further" moments. But we persisted, and were rewarded with an amazing sunset! The trip back down, in the dark, was a little creepy with lots of forest animal noises and...More
Not for the unfit, this walk was a great exercise. Didn't take us too far from resort central as the crow flies, but it takes time to climb so steeply. The reward is the incredible views and photo opportunities of Hamilton and surrounding islands. Take...More

This is definitely a must do while on Hamilton Island - the walk is challenging in parts but there are flat sections where you can recover and the stairs also help. The view of the Whitsunday Islands from the top is superb and well worth...More

I think it took us an hour to get up there. We are young 30's, hubby is in better shape than me. There was definitely some sweating (a lot of sweating) and a few "we did this to us" moments. Some parts are steep and it was really hot. It was a bit quicker to get down!

If you are really fit and prepared for a steep stepped track at the end then it’s possible. I don’t think this 44 year unfit mummy could but if you want to and are fit it’s no harm setting off and having a go!
