If you are looking for a part day or full day tour to Hill Inlet, look no further than Ricochet,Hamilton Island. Initially I had booked an incorrect tour to Whitehaven Beach (with a different tour operator) , I desperately wanted to see Hill Inlet! A few discussions with Hamilton Tour Desk and browsing pamphlets we found Ricochet. From beginning to end and everything in between these guys were nothing short of friendly, professional and good value. If you love all things sailing or being on a boat in a very relaxed and chilled environment you’ll love what Ricochet offers. If you like me need to see the amazing blues of Hill Inlet do you research on weather and wind. They do change course (weather dependant). Tim & Kelly were nothing short of damn amazing! Loved every moment and cant wait to get back and do it again!

Had a fantastic day with Frank and Kelly! Spectacular scenery and awesome hospitality. Chalking reef was awesome as was Whitehaven. I'd do this tour again in a heartbeat - was just brilliant!

Two of us booked the evening sunset trip and were very pleased with it. There were around 18 people on the boat and seating is either at the back, on the two boom nets at the front on on large cushions on the front. Every couple got their own antipasto plate and there was plenty of bubbly or beer. Would definitely recommend it.

Very disappointing - my husband and I plus another couple went on the Sunset Cruise. It was not cheap at $110 per head and was advertised as being 'exclusive'. We were handed scratched and dirty plastic glasses and the 'antipasto' platter we had looked forward to was a paper dinner plate with some cubed cheap cheese, some cut up cabanossi (only one piece each), Jatz biscuits and cocktail onions between the 4 of us. We sailed out about 300 meters in a straight line from the marina and then just sat there with no commentary until the sun set (which was beautiful) and then sailed back again...would have been better off watching it from One Tree Hill. Loved Hamilton Island and this was our only bad experience, I don't usually complain but I think it should not be promoted as a luxury experience when it is definitely not!

Hi Gillian, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We always appreciate constructive and honest feedback. However when I read your review I was convinced you must have been confusing our product for someone else's! Our 'antipasto' platter does not consist of "Cabanossi and cheap cubed cheese" but rather King Island Ruby wax aged Cheddar, Olives, Onion, Camembert/Brie, Semi Sun-dried Tomatoes, Hummus, Calabrese Salami and crackers. It would also not have been served on a paper plate and plastic glasses are a requirement for safety but I can assure you they were neither scratched nor dirty. For the sunset trip we sail out into the Whitsunday passage to enjoy the sunset and the total distance covered would have been around 3.5 nautical miles. As I said initially I thought you must have been commenting on a different trip, however I soon realised who you and your party were as I was the skipper on board that day. I remember vividly you ignored all suggestions to move to the rear of the vessel where you would be most comfortable and the commentary was ongoing. You complained the WHOLE time and the stewardess on board was extremely upset about how rude you were towards her. I'm not sure about what your experience on luxury yachts is and given your comment that $110 is "not cheap," I'm guessing it is quite limited. The only comment in your review that I agree with is that we (especially my stewardess) would all have been better off if you'd watched the sunset from One tree hill. Given we have over two hundred and sixty 5 star, excellent reviews, I can only guess that you are the exception that proves the rule- we pride ourselves on operating an excellent, premium luxury service and the VAST majority of people love their experience. I also don't agree that the whole of your party didn't enjoy the experience as one of the gentleman (who had sat with me the entire trip)when departing commented enthusiastically and said he had had a " fantastic time." I hope you realise that writing fictitious reviews can be damaging to a companies reputation and I can only imagine you have written this review as your requests for money were denied. Good Luck for the future.

We had a great small group of 12 people on the boat which made for an intimate yachting experience. Unfortunately we did not have the owners as hosts for the day and whilst the crew were competent, after reading previous reviews, I feel their attentiveness was not to the level expected for luxury yachting and of the owners. The buffet lunch was fresh and adequate but not the indulgence of what we had expected. We would highly recommend the Ricochet to anyone wanting to experience a small group sailing experience, it was a beautiful day and the sunset on the way home made the whole experience even more special.
