My husband and I did this cruise as part of our hotel package. The same day we did the sail and snorkel cruise on the exact same boat which was great, but due to booking issues we had to do the sunset sail that same afternoon. Due to the weather being overcast there was not a lot of sun coming through (just snippets). Its a very relaxing cruise but for 1.5hrs just goes up and back on the same path. Free wine, beer and champagne was great and staff always topping up your drinks. Due to COVID you were given one box of a mix of cheese, crackers, salami, olives and a dip. It was one box between two people which was not enough (needed one each). Staff were very accomodating, friendly, attentive and happy to have a chat. We didn't need warm clothes but I would advise if you want to sit at the front of the boat over the water don't wear a dress or skirt.

My husband and I just did the full day sail and snorkel tour. Going on a catamaran was very relaxing but it is 1.5hrs out to the reef and back again. The only snorkeling was at Chalkie's Beach which was amazing but wish we stayed there longer. Whitehaven beach was full of other tourist companies and could only swim here (no snorkeling offered). We walked up to the lookout which was a nice view but wasn't really worth it for us. Being COVID we couldn't have a buffet lunch so there were no prawns and food allocated wasn't enough for each person (we were still hungry). Morning tea was a chocolate chip muffin, lunch a very yummy wrap but was let down with only being one wrap and then given a few grapes and a muslie bar. Afternoon tea was a packet of cheese slices and crackers. You could buy alcohol and soft drinks on board after 10:30am. Oh and water was warm and no stingers were present so a good time of year to go (it was still mandatory for us to wear stinger suits for our own protection). The staff were amazing. Very attentive to your needs, experienced, friendly and helpful. So in a nutshell the food could have been a lot better and we would have preferred to do more snorkeling. It's probably more suited to the older generation that don't want to swim much and like to cruise a long. Next time we would like to take a faster boat over and do more snorkeling.

Our trip to Hamilton was last minute, we were only there overnight and were lucky enough to get the last 2 spots on this wonderful sunset cruise. The entire cruise was amazing thanks to Helena, Tom & Hannah who looked after our every need and of course the skill (and humour) of skipper Mark who made the wind & choppy waves smooth sailing. An experience not to be missed!

My family and I did the full day sail and snorkel to Chalkies Beach for some snorkeling and then onto the beautiful Whitehaven Beach. The Catamaran was amazing and a great size and well maintained. The staff (Mark, Tom and Luke) were very helpful and friendly and very focused on safety and the enjoyment of passengers. The time allocated for snorkeling and at Whitehaven was good. I would recommend this for people of all ages. (We went on this trip in early December 2020 so it is definitely open and operating even though it looks like it says temporarily closed on TripAdvisor.)
