If you're looking for a different kind of holiday activity, Hamilton Island's bowling alley offers family-friendly games, from 1.30Pm - 9.00Pm every day.

What you'll love about Island Bowling:

- Try your hand at 9-pin bowling - an original bowling game that dates back to the 11th century.

- Fun for the whole family - with small children even catered for, with bumpers and ramps.

- Try night bowling! As the sun goes down, the Island Bowling transforms with glow in the dark lanes, pins, balls and state-of-the-art lighting.

- Plenty of room - with seven lanes, an amusement arcade, and a fully-licensed bar.

Nine curvy pins attached to string that oddly lift themselves like haunted marionettes once knocked down, odd-shaped balls to bowl with, and bizarre game rules like bingo and horse...this activity is likely best for families with pre-teen or teenage kids. We didn't love it -- two adult couples sans kids.

The bowling wasn't like anything I've ever played before but due to the company we keep we made it fun. The game itself was infuriating, confusing, and a little bizarre, but if you are going to kill an hour or so.....I guess It's a viable activity. I have a feeling it's more fun for kids than couples though.

$49 for the hour with as many games as you can get in. Lots of fun options via the computer. Great value for money. Wear runners so you don't have to wear their shoes. Grant was pretty busy but was extremely friendly and very helpful. Ring and book so you guarantee yourself a lane.

While the staff member was a delightful young man I found the string/rope across the bowling lane very annoying. We did still have fun notwithstanding a couple of glitches where the game and scores disappeared. The good staff member gave us a new lane and we had no further issues.

Thank you James for going above and beyond in giving us a great "first" bowling experience for our son. Appreciate your guidance - we had a "ball"!

We booked for an hour on arrival our lane was not functioning the new lane we were placed in kept malfunctioning, each time we went to speak to the staff they were too busy talking amongst them selves or flirting the guests at the bar. All up we booked for and hour , but only had 20 minutes of play... More

Wow how much fun you can have after the sun is gone playing 10 pin bowlIng... Bianca is the manager and a great fun girl... The bowling balls only have 2 holes and are light, but the alley is short with fun games to play.... Oh and the best part is that it is LICENSED... Great fun ..

Wasn't sure what to expect at the bowling alley, however we did have a lot of good fun. There are lots of mini games to play instead of one long game which makes bowling less boring. Although it can be quite costly for the hour at $50 for 1 hour and $30 for extra half hours

visited the bowling alley before dinner one night. We had a great time. Different to the normal ten pin bowling as there are many different games to play. Hired the lane for one hour and it was good value. Can use your own shoes which is a bonus. We even had some popcorn bought over to us - on the... More

We booked two lanes for our 9 teenagers. They had a great hour after they worked out the smaller balls and lanes. You can wear you own shoes. Lots of snacks and drinks if you want to eat while you play. A pleasant way to spend an hour having a laugh!
