Can easily see why Lake Makenzie is in the top 10 places to swim in the world. It is so beautiful and apparently the water has about the same PH value as hair condition which means it leaves your skin and hair beautifully soft.

An absolutely stunning place to visit with white sand and clear water. Even warm enough to swim in June. Disappointed to see people eating on the shore even though there were many signs saying no food.

Absolutely stunning beach area, the sand is beautiful. Plenty of room to not be surrounded by people.

Visited on a bus trip. Some went swimming, some just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Lovely beach. Would go again.

If you only have time to visit one lake, Lake McKenzie is the pick....no need to see any others as they just don't compare.

Hi NZDAY, There are day trips organised through tour operators from Hervey Bay and Rainbow Beach. You can get the ferry from Hervey bay across to the Kingfisher beach resort but you cannot access the rest of the island... More
Hi, we will be in Noosa and my first preference would be to hire my own 4 x 4 and drive to Fraser Island and back in one day. Are there any tours of the island from there?

Hi Dennis, the tours usually depart from Hervey Bay (Kingfisher Bay Ferry) at 7:00 in the morning or thereabouts, so driving up from Noosa would mean a pretty early start. You can, however, drive up at your leisure, put the... More
