We visited the Capricorn Caves on our stop off in Rockhampton. Our tour guide was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The highlight of the tour was the Cathedral Cave, we got to sample the acoustics of the cave, which as the brochure states are "near perfect", and also got to experience cave darkness as all the lights were dimmed. Very... More

We enjoyed our stop at the Capricorn Caves. It's privately owned which is a little different. They had a lizard out when we first got there who had a bit of a projectile poop all over our guide ... stunk more than I thought it would :) The caves were very interesting and the guide made it a lot of... We recently enjoyed the Cathedral Cave tour whilst on a holiday in Yeppoon. It surpassed our expectations - it is a really impressive tourist attraction. The tour guide, Charlie, did a wonderful job explaining the history of the caves and presented all information in a bright and enthusiastic manner. We loved the experience of sitting in the cathedral and listening... More

We had been delayed by a road closure issue on the Bruce Hwy, from Airlie Beach to Rockhampton, so our only activity near Rockhampton turned out to be a visit to the Capricorn Caves. That said, we really enjoyed the time we spent going thru the caves & I'm sure that the Brides & Grooms who have experienced the Wedding... More

This is definitely a must see. Caves are wonderful. Wheelchair access is available. There is a shop and a kiosk. You can even stay there in cabins or bring your own camper or van. Excellent sightseeing place to go!!

My wife and I visited the Capricorn Caves and had a great time. Our cave guide Heidi was absolutely fantastic and had lots of passion. The tour took about an hour. It was worth it for the price. It was very interesting. And we were allowed to video and take photos. We did the cathedral cave where people get married,... More
