As there was a 'Lego' display which took up the ground floor so the upstairs area was very limited in what art could be displayed. However the Lego display was excellent and the interactive areas around the display were great.

As the gallery staff were busy mounting an incoming display for the following day only the upper floor was available to us. The children's activity section was especially good and the small selection of notable artists were a credit to the gallery. However, the gallery itself, the design and presentation appear to be a very good asset to the city.

I took a visitor to Rockhampton Art Gallery last week and it was as always a delight. The Indigenous art on display was very moving and informative and all other art was also very good. It was lovely and cool and very pleasant.

I was so impressed by the art in the gallery and the space itself I felt like I was transported away from reality for a short time. There were three exhibits on display the day I visited, each unique and interesting. I loved the exhibition by Erin Dunne, a local artist and the Cream exhibit that contained works by Olley,... We stopped in at the Rockhampton Art Gallery during our time in the city and we really are getting to like our cultural stops in art galleries around Australia. Before departing on this journey, my wife said we can’t just get drunk and party around Australia so she insisted that my brothers and I try to get some culture as... More
