We mainly use this as a place to park our motorhome overnight when in Rockhampton. You can stay 48 hours and the council have officers check to make sure you do not stay longer. There are no facilities but it has a nice walk beside moors creek and into the gardens. There are large areas closed off for repairs and... More

My wife stayed at Kershaw Gardens for two nights as you're allowed to camp there for 48hrs for free. We walked through the gardens but it was largely fenced off due to cyclone Marcia that hit Rockhampton in 2015. Its been over two years, but still no progress. They have a sign stating big ideas for the new gardens but... More

First visit there i wasn't overly impressed then found out they were still in the renovation stage after cyclone Marcia after reading other reviews. Went back and found some really nice surprises, nice old windmill, some fountains, and I found the waterfalls! Got some great photos of the waterfall in the afternoon, looked great with the sun shining, and went... More

Great big garden with multiple car parks depending on what you want to check out in the garden. There's the waterfall which was beautiful. There were a few places that was closed but I guess they're renovating which is awesome. Definitely take a look if you have time and it's just off the highway so very convenient.

The Kershaw Gardens at Rockhampton is located just off the Bruce highway at North Rockhampton. Turn off the highway into a parking area where there is plenty of parking available, plus on the day we visited, there was a mobile coffee van selling lunch in the carpark. What we saw of the park, was very impressive and we enjoyed the... More

Stunning gardens with quiet walks, lots of birdlife and flowing water. Looking good again after the cyclone damage of a couple of years ago

This garden was damaged in the 2015 cyclone. It is quite damaged. You walk around the path network and often come to a dead end. It would appear that the local council has no money.

Sad to see still so much of the park closed for so long due to storm damage. What is open is a nice short walk and filled in some time while we waited for friends to arrive from Mackay.

Beautiful , serene park in the heart of the city. Lots of different wildlife and lots of different trees and flowers. We enjoyed our peaceful walk through the park immensely. The fact that we saw only a couple of other people in the park added to the serenity of our walk. Probably a hidden jewel that not too many people... More
