If you have time to kill, go to the little courthouse museum in Port Douglas. It’s three dollars for hours of enthralling stories of the Port in its early settlement days. It’s first murder trial and how Port Douglas weathered WWII. There is an older...More

This small museum near the police station is worthwhile if you are interested in history or just need to fill half an hour or so. $2 for entry. Very hot in there the day we went.

A cute little local museum with some interesting Port Douglas history. The Chinese character in the video about the courthouse’s most famous criminal case was a bit of a laugh.

The museum was originally a Courthouse and its main feature today is a set-up resembling a trial, complete with life-size judge, prosecutor and of course the woman and man on trial, all wearing clothes of the day. It was a highly controversial murder trial back...More

The main attraction is a 10 minute TV documentary. Aside from the documentary, there's not much other information or other exhibits.

Small, old building that had been well maintained and turned into a museum. The inside shows a court session in progress. It's only open for short periods on some days so check before you visit.
