This is the best way for novices to experience the Great Barrier Reef. From the coach ride, to the catamaran, to the food, to the snorkel experience (thanks Abby, you rock), it’s just a first class experience with something for everyone. We were with friends...More

We went snorkeling on the Wave Dancer to Low Isles and we also went to the outer reef pontoon with Quicksilver during our trip last week. We had the most amazing experience. Our favourite moment of the trip was during our sail to the Low...More

A very good friend wanted to do this trip for her 60th birthday and from start to finish the day was perfect. The plentiful friendly staff were genuinely eager to welcome everyone aboard. The vessel was spotlessly clean and offered plenty of comfortable seating. The...More

We had a wonderful trip with Quiksilver to see the Great Barrier Reef particularly as a family. The trip was informative and very well organised, considering the number of people on the boat. Everything was catered for; lycra suits, snorkels/goggles, fins, life vest, food etc....More

WOW!!! Expensive, but well worth every penny. 90 min each way from Port Douglas to the pontoon platform, what an amazing set-up. Snorkeling gear and Lycra full body suits (to protect from stings if jellyfish were present, which they were not on our trip). Hot...More

The trip was undertaken due to publicity about our barrier reef. Interesting to learn from the marine biologists that more damage is done to the reef than "climate change". Interesting that this news doesn't make the press to let us mature people decide for oneself....More

I think I recall they cancel if it’s too windy If 21 knots makes any sense? It may be less than that for a good sea trip. Hope this helps but they tell you all this from memory when you book :-)
