Wonderful and informative as you ride along the rails. Green ant nests are amazing in the trees as explained by the guard. Terrific to come from town back to resort and vice versa.

We had looked forward to this trip because it looked so cute - little train on little track running down the Port Douglas peninsula. Unfortunately our enjoyment of it was marred by the excessive clatter in our back carriage, so that we could not hear...More

We did the lunch and train ride tour. It was a nice relaxing way to enjoy lunch and see Port Douglas. The deal included the train ride, lunch and a complimentary drink which was really good value for money. The food was also exceptional.

Informative train journey through Port Douglas, driver involved the children in turning the train, they thoroughly enjoyed this, as did the adults. Would do the trip again.

Enjoyed the ride. It was not the steam train. Goes from town to a suburb. You can walk back or return on the train. Reasonable cost.

Nice 20 minute trip but would have been good to have been given some background to the train and it’s history (couldn’t find this on website, at ticket office and wasn’t given on trip). Without this it was a little disappointing.
