Both my friend and I were injured during a white water rafting trip on the barron river. Our guide was at fault but raging thunder has refused to take responsibility or compensate for medical expenses. We were put in an unsafe situation despite being outright told that it was safe, and no one from raging thunder ever contacted us for... More

An action packed day that was such great fun. These guys were funny from the start of the bus trip all the way through the day. We saw some of the most beautiful scenery and got to white water the incredible Tully River. They share their love for rafting and keep you safe at all times. The bonus is you... More

I would recommend this to anyone visiting Queensland! These guys are fantastic, really organised and friendly. We did the self drive package which was great as we got their earlier than the tour so were able to watch them set up the balloons and it also worked out much cheaper - we'd definitely recommend if you have access to your... We opted for the self drive option and drove to Mareeba for 4:30am. There, one of the balloon team were waiting for us and we transferred into his jeep (after a quick toilet break). We were driven to the field where the balloons arrived at the same time. We stood in the field in the dark watching the balloons being... More

Went with the extreme tour and was honestly surprised with how extreme it actually was! Whoa, cliff jumping, rapid surfing, and sliding down a natural water slide... couldn't have asked for more from this trip. Our guide Paul was amazing. He kept the conversation going and genuinely seemed interested in getting to know us and share interesting things about himself... More

Exhilarating! It is the only word I can think of to describe this experience! I'd never rafted before, but after a day spent on the Tully with two amazing river guides - Dan and Dave - I've already started researching other trips to take around the world. Book this tour!! Book it immediately!! You will not regret it!

We went on the day trip to Fitzroy island and oh my god what day we had!! It was absolutely stunning, the boat ride over was quick and comfortable. The captain is so so funny! Every staff member is so knowledgable and really cares about the island the reef and its animals. We absolutely loved the trip, take the time... More

....said our guide Paul. And he's right! It was a great experience, right from making the reservation, to the prompt pick-up, to checking-in, to the drive down to Tully and briefings onboard the busses, to Paul's one-liners all day long. Cannot fault this operation in the slightest - safe and fun all in one package. Lunch could have been a... More

I went Canyoning with these guys last week and the whole experience was first class. From the day before receiving a courtesy call advising of water levels, confirming pick up point and checking for my clothes/shoes sizes was very comforting. Upon arrival the guides (Rob & Guy) were incredibly friendly and chatted like we were friends from the start. This... More

Awesome experience rafting with Raging Thunder! Guides were knowledgeable and helpful training beginners. The rapids were grade 3 which is moderate. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience
