Catamaran day trip to Michaelmas Cay with Ocean Spirit. We had a great day with this company (see my review of them for more details) Only one other boat trip there when we visited so quite quiet out snorkling. Other islands may have been busier....More

If your looking at sea birds then this is it..accessible on 2 tour companies visiting daily and the chance to snorkel the fringing reefs around it too.. For the nature lover spend time in hatchling season and you will see juvenile black tip reef sharks...More

This is a must see place and highly anticipated part of our tour. The natural beauty above the sea on the sandy beach and the semi sub tour and snorkeling were awesome.

This is a good area about 45 mins by fast boat (Skedaddle) and it is great you can go ashore to a small fenced off area to see the birds. The reef is good with some great fish. There is a bit of tide running...More

Visit was via CBR cruise boat that stopped at MC for about 2 hours for cruisers to snorkel and/or dive. Water conditions were poor (very heavy rains the previous week may have contributed to this), and the surface area of the Cay itself was reduced...More

We stopped here on our day cruise on the great barrier reef and what a wonderfully beautiful experience. The birdlife was exceptional to watch, especially the young chicks. The snorkelling was good value and the sea water refreshing

This was one of our stops on our Seastar Great Barrier Reef snorkeling tour. I'm a bit intimidated in the ocean and the idea of not having land nearby is a bit anxiety inducing for me. Even though it freaks me out, I was going...More

Unless you are snorkelling there is literally nothing to see except a very very small strip of sand with a zillion birds on it. All the boats I saw going out there including the one I was on are all moderately paced, packed... More

You would not want to pay for one that focuses (and includes snorkeling and a dive for a little extra) - and that is what we did and I agree with Claus - what a shame to bypass the opportunity!
