I have always wanted to dive on the great barrier reef since I was a kid.I finally got here and was totally amazed at the beauty, water clarity and fish. The coral reef is absolutely amazing.

Went out on the Ocean Spirit - that was a lovely boat, well staffed. Whole purpose though was to see, what we were told, was a good section of reef. Sadly though even this far from land, the reef is bleached with many areas of...More

Gorgeous sandy cay and easy, shallow snorkeling makes this a great spot to get wet and check out the marine life on the Great Barrier Reef without the intimidation of open ocean. Lots of giant clams and parrot fish, too!.

Due to its location and restrictions, Michaelmas Cay is a beautiful and undisturbed location. Its shallow waters just off the beach are perfect for kids or someone who is just beginning with snorkeling with great waters and wildlife farther out for more experienced snorkelers. Michaelmas...More

This Cay is amazing! I came to snorkel. It took me an hour before I got in the water! First, our boat had a submersible boat ride that was fantastic. Covered a lot more area than I could go snorkeling. Amazing views! Then, I took...More

It was very exciting for me to be snorkeling out on the Great Barrier Reef. The underwater scenery was breathtaking. I was especially taken with the giant clams. It was a perfect day.

The Cay is a bird sanctuary... in other-words it smells like poo and there are birds everywhere. The visibility is bad cause of the sand and the coral is white and broken

You would not want to pay for one that focuses (and includes snorkeling and a dive for a little extra) - and that is what we did and I agree with Claus - what a shame to bypass the opportunity!
