We stopped here during our day on the great barrier reef. We saw turtles & a black tipped reef shark during our dive.

We Absolutley loved visiting this Cay. A gorgeous white sandy beach in the middle of the ocean for birds and more recently turtles to nest! The snorkelling was fabulous for beginners, with turtles and reef shark sightings throughout the morning!

The cay is beautiful and the coral you are able to explore is fantastic. Be aware though that there is only a small portion of the cay that you can actually walk or even be on. About 80% of it is preserved for the birds...More

We took a catamaran out to Michaelmas Cay. The day was beautiful, however the wind made snorkeling and taking the partial submersible a bit of a challenge. The Great Barrier Reef was experiencing a cyclone several miles out to sea and had a lot of...More

There is a roped-off area for humans because this is a bird sanctuary reef and the birds let you know it from the minute you get off the shuttle. We snorkled off this reef, which was awesome, and a life list adventure. On the reef...More

No trip to Australia is complete without visiting the Great Barrier Reef. A day trip to Michaelmas Cay was our choice and a good choice at that. We journeyed to the reef with the Ocean Spirit tour. They provided round-trip transportation, along with snorkeling equipment...More

The answers above are right, we did see a few people who did not snorkle but there only option was to sit on the beach (small area) or wait on the boat. My opinion for you if you do not want scuba or snorkle is to find one... More
