We had a wonderful day on the Great Barrier Reef! Snorkelling was just amazing. The girls did two introductory dives which were wonderful! All the staff were really helpful and friendly! The dive instructor Matt was particularly attentive to the girls - one of my daughters was a bit nervous but he made her feel comfortable! The food was good too!

The guided scuba dive was the quickest and easiest way to experience scuba diving the reef. Amazing staff.

AMAZING day and experience on the reef with the crew from Ocean Freedom. The check-in is easy and hassle free and upon boarding the vessel there is a selection of pastries, fruit and tea and coffee to share. The boat itself is incredibly comfortable and the trip out to the reef was quick and ‘smooth sailing’. Accompanying my husband and I on our reef trip were our two children, aged 10 and 12. Our 12-year-old is a little nervous in the water and uncomfortable with some of the snorkelling equipment. The staff were great at towing him around on a ring so he could share in the enjoyment of the reef in a way he felt safe and comfortable with - shout out to Liam and Palle for this. Both reef locations were a hub for varying marine life including turtles, porcupine stingrays, giant clams and heaps of fish species. We were lucky that the water was clear and conditions meant we had great clarity. The option of participating in the glass bottom boat tour was also fantastic - especially for those not as comfortable in the water. Ash gave a really informative and interesting presentation about the reef and it was great to hear all the positive things happening about coral preservation and regeneration. Food throughout the day was excellent and abundant - no one can leave saying they weren't well feed. Shout out also to the skipper Ben and the other staff for a great, safe and enjoyable day. Highly recommend this tour, and really appreciate the added thought and attention to ensuring kids and adults alike are able to enjoy the day.

Thank you so much for your detailed review - we are passionate about ensuring our crew give you the best day possible - fun and informative but also safe and caring - they love looking after the reef and guests no matter the age so great you picked up on this. It certainly sounds like the marine life certainly performed too - a big clap to them as well!! Glad we were able to give you and your family a memorable day out on the Great Barrier Reef and that you didn't go hungry! Hope to see you all again in the future.

I enjoyed this cruise, I went on a day where the water was a bit choppy but I still had fun. They give us good snorkelling equipment so no blisters from the flippers. The boat ride was 1 hour to first location and 1-1:30 hours back. The second location was beautiful. I saw a sting ray and 2 sea turtles in the second location. The tour guides are absolutely amazing, they were really friendly and made me feel comfortable as a solo travelers. One of the your guides (don't remember the name but had a beard and piercings on the 2/11/21) gave me a life changing tip that eating helps ward of sea sickness which actually worked! They give us plenty of food through out the day. Im giving 4/5 because I got a low tour number which was great but I know if this tour was at full capacity (75 customers) I don't think I would have enjoyed this as much, but these are normal numbers for tours like this.

Hi Erin, Thank you so much for your review . Great to hear that you enjoyed all the marine life even though the weather wasn’t perfect and the food was plentiful! We do take a maximum of 75 but we are surveyed for 105 so as guests settle in the various areas – saloon, back deck , upper deck , bow or flybridge there is plenty of space. We also have a very high crew to guest ratio so our service is the same so we can assure you if you were to visit us again in “normal” times you won’t be disappointed – the attention to detail would still be the same . Hope to see you again some time!
