We often come here when we are waiting for a connecting flight and have a couple of hours to spare and you don't want to sit around in the airport. Its free and a nice spot to sit and watch the water birds with some lunch. Sometimes its nice to get out of the aircon.

the nudgee beach hotel is really in banyo but never mind about that for a cold beer friendly staff and great cheap tasty meals. i have paid twice as much elsewere and not as good as here. daily specials and my favourite on monday a seniors meal and a beer / wine or soft drink for 1o bucks.

Brisbane has 3 islands off shore so no sand and surf beaches only mangrove tidal water front - not a beach - so don't be fooled unless you like swamps

Not REALLY a beach...more of a waterfront location for a picnic etc. Great to give the dogs a run but not really a swimming spot as it is very muddy with difficult water access.

Probably the most disgusting place I have been to. It is not a beach it is a mangrove swamp that stinks when the tide is out. Much better places to go.

I see many reviews here from dog owners who allowed their dogs to run around the beach off-leash. This beach is an important resting area for migratory birds. Are dog owners this selfish and careless that they allow their dogs to harass the migrating birds? There are other dog-off-leash beaches where you can legitimately allow your dog t run around.

Nudgee beach is not far off of the busy Bruce Highway. It is worth the slight detour in order to enjoy the relative peace and quiet. The tide was out when we visited so there was loads of sand for the free running dogs to enjoy.

My Goughy was in doggy nirvana at this beach, the dogs were well managed by owners, the space was big enough for everyone to run around even inside the dog park was plenty of room to mingle and play. We came from the south side once you get onto the gateway arterial it was so easy and well signed for... More

Nudgee Beach is a tidal flat with a large expanse of sand exposed at low tide. It is also a very important habitat for migratory shore birds, many of which are in steep decline. It is a great place to walk dogs; however THEY MUST BE ON LEASH, it is not an off leash area. Dogs off leash chase and... More
