While walking around the CBD, we stopped here to rest our weary feet and get some respite from the afternoon sun. Fortunately the air was cool at the tail end of winter. Thepark is not very big but the location surrounded by the tall CBD buildings provided some contrasting scenery with the trees and well kept grounds. There are food... More

Anzac square is beautifully set in the centre of Brisbane CBD, great for relaxing or having lunch. The memorials are informative, and great to take in if you enjoy history. Lots of wonderful restaurants and takeaway very close by (vegerama -vegan- right across the street).

A. Nice park in the middle of th city to stop sit and reflect - plenty of shade and nice to stroll around reading the various monuments under the eternal flame stairs there are a couple of rooms housing some very interesting rolls of honor and information about some of the battles.

What a lovely spot to stop and take time.. Peaceful, respectful and unexpected splendour in what at times proved to be a busy route yet I found myself stopping here time and time again as it was enroute to our accomodation. Loved the bottle trees lining the path.

The gardens are always well kept. Even though it is used daily by many train commuters, it is still clean & tidy. There are many memorials to soldiers of previous wars, and the Shrine of Remembrance with its eternal flame is a very peaceful place.

A peaceful reminder of Australia's sacrifice in past conflicts and an excellent tribute to all who contributed.

A walk through the Square acquaints one with the local history. The pride the guides take in showing and explaining various statues and marking is amazing. Top 10 on the to-see list for sure.

A new experience to have a deckchair in the middle of the city. Lovely to sit for a while and look at the historic buildings surrounding the Square
