Southbank is an oasis in the city where you can stroll around and see the birdlife of Brisbane. It is an ideal meeting place and smaller kids like to swim at the lagoon there.

Located along the Brisbane River across from the CBD. Contains various attractions including a man made beach, the Wheel of Brisbane, rainforests, a Nepalese pagoda, walkways and picnic areas. Easily accessible from the city by walking and public transport. Free entry.for most things.

Really lovely free attraction. The beach and pools are superb and great for children. At night the "fountains" light up.

I love this amazing place, I spent the most wonderful moment here while I was in Brisbane. During the weekend there is also a beautiful market! I love it!

Brisbane is a lovely city. Southbank is a terrific day out for visitors. Ride your bike or walk. Enjoy the river and have a picnic. Most of the year the weather is lovely and the pool water is always warm. Great day out.

I remember Southbank prior to Expo 88 and being amazed at the changes then, now... wow! It looks great and offers so much variety. Also great to see some Expo artifacts preserved.

The 'beach' was closed for renovations but the resort style pool was open and packed full a gorgeous people!! Only a short walk over the bridge from the CBD. Worth a visit, even if it's only to go for lunch.

Nice big park in the city, which has changed over the years. Walk along the Riverbank. There is a huge fairly knew children's playground. Lots of places to eat from inexpensive to more expensive, or just sit and have a coffee. Lovely swimming area, more...More

Very accessible, Ramps down to the market area and pool, and lifts up from the car park and up the the second story pubs and restaurants. The rest is all gently sloping paths. But it does get crowded
