Visiting Mt Cootha is a 'must' on the list to visit Brisbane. As Brisbane has a very interesting lay out with a river that curls through the city in a random way, the view from Mt Cootha will make it easier to get an overview....More

Go up here when the weather is odd.....When it is foggy you see the towers poking through. When a storm is brewing you can watch it roll in.

I had lunch here with some friends up from Melbourne. The view of Brisbane is spectacular and the food was delicious. The starter plate for entre was very good with small tastes of different things. The service was excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant...More

We visited on a beautifully sunny afternoon. The lookout gives you uninterrupted views of the whole of Brisbane. Truly breathtaking. There are some walking tracks nearby for those who are interested. The cafe at the lookout was busy when we passed by.

Awesome views. Would love to go up at night time to see the lights from the city! The cafe was pretty average and busy, but a nice place for a quick visit.

Mt. Coot-tha is a nice place to see Brisbane and surrounding areas. You can see the oddly-shaped Glass House Mts., rising up in the distance. There's a cafe there if you're feeling peckish.

It was so nice to be taken here by my daughter, the first time we've visited this place and I was in awe. There's a bit of a steep climb especially if you can't find a good parking spot, if you arrived a bit late...More

The lookout is great for photo opportunities etc. but the botanic gardens are much nicer for the landscape. The gardens are only a few minutes drive from the lookout so you can easily do the look out, botanic gardens and... More

Other than taxi/uber and private tour opertors I believe the only option would be a train to the city, then council bus number 471. It could be just as easy to hire a car from the aiport? The only public transport option... More

Yes! I often take my Labrador up the trail as do many other dog walkers. Leashes are required.
