We were expecting to find a seafood market, with different vendors and specialities, but the address took us to the same place as Rachael's seafood restaurant where we'd eastern the previous day! It's actually just a couple of fish counters and a boat display next...More

I do apologise for any confusion as I am in the transition of a name change for that sole reason from Darwin Fish Market which conjures up the image of that being similar to the Sydney Fish Market or Melbourne Markets. You are not the...More

We are just visiting Darwin and ducked into the fish market to see if they had wild caught fish for sale. They had a great variety, very fresh and delicious baramundi, prawns and oysters that we selected. It was so delicious that I'm salivating at...More

I like to go on a cool day, to choose oyster and a handful of prawns. There are a few different types of prawn to choose from. Then, straight home and eat! Yum. Staff very friendly and seafood very fresh.

Totally understand: we are just a shop - that is why we are currently in the middle of a name change from Darwin Fish Market to Carmel's Seafood Market therefore less confusion when people are visiting and expecting similar to the likes of Sydney Fish...More

Was disappointed when we arrived to find it was really just a shop. Was expecting more space, more seafood and more stalls.

Went there at xmass 2017 to buy some fresh seafood, was a fairly small set up but had lots of variety. Was quite expensive so i didn't buy as much as i would usually.

Very fresh seafood and ice offered to get supplies home cold. The best tasting and reasonable price. I come here regularly, when I have the inclination to eat seafood. Bring a cooler bag or esky.

Went to buy some prawns yesterday and they were around the same price as the supermarkets in town. We bought the 5kg box for $125 which worked out cheaper if you have time to eat that many. We had 7 people and a few days...More

We visited the Darwin Fish Market often whilst living in Darwin. We loved the fresh Jew fish. Each time we cooked it it was flavorsome and tender. We also tried a variety of prawns and octopus and was never dissapointed. Make sure you give the...More
