An intimate dining experience under the outback sky. 'Tali Wiru', meaning beautiful dune in local Anangu language, encapsulates the magic of fine dining under the Southern Desert sky. Instead of walls, this open-air restaurant has magnificent views of Uluru and the distant domes of Kata Tjuta, and for music there's the stillness of the desert at night and the classic sounds of the didgeridoo. Relax with Champagne and canapés around a firepit while you watch the sun set. As day turns to night, stroll to the top of the dune for a table d'hote four-course dinner, matched with premium Australian wines.

WOW! My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary dining under the stars at the Tali Wiru dinner experience. Excellent menu, well matched wines, plenty of champagne on offer, as well as hot chocolate and cognac or port around the fire place at the end of the night. Yes it was expensive but well worth the experience!

Oh my! This is a once in a lifetime experience. Picked up from any of the Yulara accommodation you are taken via 4WD bus out into the desert to a private sand dune half way between Kata Tjuta and Uluru. Once there we were met by incredibly polite and friendly staff, handed a glass of champagne and left to watch... More

The Tali Wiru dinner would have to be one of the most amazing meals I have had in my life. The food and wine was fantastic and plentiful and, oh my, the setting. We were lucky to attend on a crystal clear evening, and having a 360 degree view of the desert, with Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the distance... More

From the moment you are handed your first glass of champagne on arrival, sitting listening to a didgeridoo while being served delicious canapes, until taking the last sip of hot chocolate around the campfire, listening to bush stories at the end of the evening , everything is perfection. Truly a 5-star 4 course dining experience in unusual surroundings. If the... More

This is definitely one in a lifetime experience. You arrive to this wonderful place and are welcomed with aboriginal music, canapés and drinks. You enjoy the amazing sunset and after you sit to enjoy your four course menu with matching wine. Food was amazing, mouthwatering and delicious. Definitely a top chef experience in the middle of Uluru. You have unlimited... More

I would suggest that rather than me describing the whole experience you should bring it up on the web and after reading about this "Dining Experience", expect the staff, food, service, drinks and atmosphere to all be astounding and 5 star. On our 50th wedding anniversary we may fly to Yulara just to attend this dining experience once again. It... More

Outrageously expensive... but Wow! Beautiful sunset overlooking Uluru. Outstanding food, excellent hospitality, well chosen wines and an experience not to forget.

Tali Wiru is a gourmet dinner served under the stars, out in the desert. Champagne and canipes when you arrive, followed by a 4 course dinner complete with quality wine pairings (all Australian of course). The evening finishes with a guided tour of the night sky while enjoying after-dinner drinks. Well worth it.

The Tali Wiru ("beautiful dune") dining experience at Yulara is an absolute treat. It is conducted only in the winter season, as rain and bugs make it untenable in the summer. Obviously it has to be booked well ahead. We had planned for several nights at Yulara, with Tali Wiru to be on the last night as a farewell treat.... More

A wonderful intimate evening watching the sun set over Uluru as we lisrened to a didgeridoo. Served canapes and champagne on arrival and then lead to our table for two on the dune where Enrique served us delicious freshly cooked courses with a different wine to compliment each chosen dish. Before dessert a star talk and stories of Aboriginal lore... More
