We visited Simpson’s gap in late December, when there aren’t as many tourists in town, and were the only ones here. We basked in the beauty of the area, and felt nature and stillness all around us. It’s really a special place here.

Like so much of the MacDonnell Ranges, this is a must see. Easy walk from the parking area and the chance to spot a few rock wallabies if you look carefully, and walk quietly. Take in that quiet and enjoy the area.

I highly recommend you visit Simpson’s gap if you’re near Alice springs, Australia. We had a lovely walk with our guide down to the gap and there was a bit of water. The rocks are magnificent and the place has wonderful energy.
