The area
Address
Neighbourhood: The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.

Cute little park. Stopped by for some photos while on a looping path from The Rocks back to the Circular Quay area. The bridge and surrounds make it feel a little bit like NYC or a Spiderman movie at times lol. Great place for photos.

Dawes Point Park is just a small green space, on the eastern side of the Harbour Bridge. There is a nice amount if shade provided by the trees and this is a great spot to watch the water traffic go by.

It is a nice place to visit. Nice restaurants or cafes around. People who like an adventure can climb the bridge and many more activities can be done around.

Dawes Point Park is a really wonderful spot. We have been there several times, but mostly during the daytime hours. It's a magnificent spot to relax, to sit down, to lie on the grass, look up and see the Bridge, as you will be practically under it, and see the beautiful Sydney sky. Then look around you and you will enjoy the most beautiful harbour, that of Sydney. You can get there by walking a few minutes from Circular Quay train station, or from a bus stop in the area. Don't drive, it's not worth it!

You get some great harbour views from here. There's also seating, and lots of shade. I'd recommend combining your visit with a stroll through the nearby Barangaroo Headland Park.

Dawes Point Park is located adjacent to the southern end of the Harbour Bridge, a 15 minute walk from Circular Quay, 10 from The Rocks. It is perfect for sitting quietly and enjoying the harbour views. There are a number of attractions nearby so some research before you travel will enhance your trip.

Came across Dawes Point Park by chance. Situated under the bridge near to The Rocks, it has stunning views of the Bridge and Opera House. Was not busy at all when I went so was a lovely place to sit and relax. Also found the collection of military guns really interesting!

This park was pretty cool, with part of it being under the bridge and part of it having the battery with a large gun emplacement. It would be a good spot for a picnic lunch in the park.
