I use Sydney Trains quite often. The trains are modern and well-maintained and the system is very reliable given the size and complexity of the rail network. Trains run across all of Sydney and its surrounds at high frequencies.

Once again the train system has let travellers down. Another set of failures has led to cancelled services, packed trains & ordinary hard working people late for meetings or family. This is getting out of control & Management of this sorry organisation need to be...More

I travelled with a friend to the city today from Warwick Farm station. She had never caught a train so we went to purchase a concession return ticket. They don’t exist in the machines which mean she had to pay $6.20 one way! We went...More

They hype and promise on minute service. But its not unusual to find urself stuck inside a train for hours, just praying to jump out at the next station and catch a uber. They shut down platforms for trivial things like repair of a stair...More

We’ve travelled to many places around the Globe and sampled a variety of Railway Networks and Metros. Most Cities get this right and Sydney is right up there. You need an Opal Card which is easy to buy (and top-up) and operates in the normal...More

Having tried the ferry, we decided to take the train back from th ferry terminal to Rhodes, which required a transfer across platforms and then a short bus ride to Wentworth point. The trains were clean, but not on time, and the Opal Card system...More

We only used the train once in the CBD, but we were impressed by the clean, new and smooth operation of the train. I'm sorry our travels didn't require more use of this great system.
