Taking the guided tour of the Opera House immediately before seeing the opera was a stroke of genius. We learned all about the Opera House, its design, controversies, and construction; and then saw Turandot right after. The opera company was diverse. The voices and acting...More

The backdrop of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge make the setting for West Side Story all the more enjoyable. What a show, what a performance and what a setting! Can't beat musicals under the stars!

I have seen West Side Story and La Boheme hosted by Handa Opera and was pleasantly surprised and moved by both. The combination of the beautiful outdoors setting on Sydney Harbour, classical opera music, choreography, costumes and stage design are hard to beat. Fireworks in...More

A truly amazing show in the most beautiful set. Over two hours of magic with stunning choreography and orchestra - a performance to remember for life. A would go back in a heartbeat. Sydney knows how to put on a good show.

I saw West Side Story last night and absolutely loved it. The choreography was wonderful as well as the setting. The use of the set was inspired with easy movement between scene changes.

Salome at the Opera House was a production combining the visual elements of Star Wars Jabba the Hut’s homeland and the garish makeup of the Muenster’s. The surprising and jarring seven veils dancers seductively spun on poles and sheets of silk with a surprise appearance...More

Never been to opera before but Sydney opera house us a good way to start. Iconic building and great fun. Mix bag of an audience some dressed to the nines others rushed from gardening. Will definitely go again see if Covent garden can match.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
