When making a trip to Sydney this is one of my first stops - what is on at the Capitol. Inside is amazing - a step back in time to when going to theatre was for the more wealthy. But now it is for everyone. I have even developed a ritual - tickets that include wine, chocolates and a program... More

Went here to see Aladin. Beautiful theatre right near central station and Chinatown. Easy access, plenty of parking nearby (paid) and good places to go for food before the show. Very interesting decor inside and quite stepped seating so even from the back of upstairs you can see everything. Helpful staff, plenty of bars and toilets so queuing wasn't a... More

Loved the musical and the atmosphere. The Capitol Theatre is beautiful on the inside and out. The theatre itself has class and flair. A wonderful birthday outing.

Beautiful old theatre with great acoustics. Saw Alladin which was very colourful and fast paced. Capitol Theatre is surrounded by good restaurants and great parking one block away at Goulburn parking station was only $10 for the night. Fabulous price for Sydney. One of my favourite theatres. Kinky Boots is coming here in the next month which has rave reviews... More

Went, as a birthday treat, to see Alladin the musical, excellent show would thoroughly recommend it, bought two mugs and a tea towel for my daughter. Mugs good but tea towel needed a wash to soften it so did so by hand, all ok so used it. It was advertised as a tea towel so presumably fit for use but... More

Such a beautiful theatre! The old world feel of this place is something you really should experience once in your lifetime (as they wont be around forever I suspect) The stage production was second to none. Aladdin was amazing! From the cast, to the singing (and I do not like musicals on a whole) to the unbelievable sets were simply... More

What an absolute delight this show is. From the moment it started until the end you were totally mesmerised into another place. The skills of the actors, dancers, orchestra, lighting, special effects just brilliant. Our seating was just the best in a royal box with appropriate nibbles and drinks. Enjoyed every moment of it and would certainly recommend. Especially at... More

We saw a production of Disney's Aladdin in November because we were staying nearby and bought tickets for the same night. We were very happy with our experience and the show was fun and lively. The seats were comfortable and the theatre is in good condition!

I saw Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Phantom of the opera and Aladdin all at Capitol Theatre. It has a great 'old world' vibe about it, yet it's so well kept and still really comfortable. Those productions were all so so good. Most recent was Aladdin and I can't stress enough how fantastic it was! You won't have any regrets... More
