Established in 1845 and formerly known as the Newmarket Hotel, the Surry Hills Hotel is one of the oldest continuously run pubs in the area. Nice large pub with some good outdoor spaces but gambling seems to be the main activity here. No real vibe so to speak- just people either betting on horses or slot machines... Drink prices are reasonable and bar staff are friendly enough.
