Sydney Harbour Circle Walk is quite a long distance to do in a single day, unless you are really dedicated! We have walked sections of this distance and it is very relaxing. It also offers wonderful opportunities for amazing sightseeing along the way. The Sydney Harbour is one of the most beautiful and this walk would be a good excuse to enjoy it!

as anyone who can read a map or knows Sydney can tell, its a very long way around the foreshore of the harbour - doubt if the "circle" could be completed in one day unless you cheated by crossing a bridge. obviously, as the walkway is near the harbour, fabulous views.If you only have a short time, suggest most beautiful walk is from CBD/Opera House through botanic gardens to Lady Macquaries Chair 9name of a point from which you also have good view down the harbour ]. Longer but good are near either side of "the Heads" and the zoo. Remember in enthusiasm to go walking to work out how you are going to leave from where you want to walk {so can get taxi/bus] or otherwise may be "walking back" if you left car where you started}

This was a new Sydney experience for us, I was only aware of it after seeing a clip on Better Homes and Gardens, but it is a fabulous new addition to this beautiful city. We walked the stretch from Darling Harbour to The Rocks - which was previously a pretty drab, and long, walk - and were blown away by the location, the natural stone blocks and the views around the harbour, which are spectacular. The path is broad and uncluttered and not too busy and with something always to look at: reminded me a little of walking around Battery Park in New York. A great way to link the touristy Darling Harbour to The Rocks and the wonder of Circular Quay. Fabulous.

The walk around Sydney Harbour is usually crowded. It is surrounded by over priced tourist traps, as in bars and restaurants. The air is usually heavily polluted and visibility poor. It is a route from the train and bus depot to the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens have some merit, but otherwise give this place a miss.

The place is very busy with tourists taking photos. It is advisable to wear a comfortable pair of shoes. Lots of restaurants to eat and rest your feet. Evening is a nice place to go and enjoy a meal there.

Obviously, the reviewers of this Circle Walk don’t know what they are writing about. Probably one person made a mistake, and now all the other ones are following this misinformation. Don’t fool yourself, doing a leisurely stroll around Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge, that you managed the Sydney Harbour Circle Walk. Its 60 km walk, even not included the loops. So it isn’t an “easy stroll,” or an afternoon walk. Of course, you can make a tiny part of it without any serious effort, especially around the Circular Quay. That is what I would recommend to people, who don’t have the time, or the strengths, or the desire for a four days walk. In my younger age maybe I would go for it since it’s full of spectacular views, showing you the Harbour from every aspect, but now I felt that cca. 5 km is enough for me. From the four days walk, I would recommend the Day1. That is the Circular Quay to Greenwich walk. It starts with Circular Quay to Milsons Point Station and after the eastern wharves led you to Bennelong Point and of course to the Sydney Opera House. From the Cahill, Expressway viaduct find the lift taking you to Cahill Walkway. Walking towards the Harbour Bridge, you’ll be gifted with fantastic views. Walk to the Pylon lookout, which is accessible from the Bridge walkway. After enjoying the view, go beyond the North Pylon, and use the steps to go down to Kirribilli and Milsons Point. From there to Quiberon Park, Lavender Bay. Here have a look at Watt Park and make sure to have some time to Wendy Whiteley’ Secret Garden. Continue the walk around the bay there is the Quiberon Park. Making the long story short, usually, I can’t go further than the Blues Point and the Sawmillers Reserve. Of course, the Day1 walk is longer, and the possibilities are endless, but my strength is already finite.
For other days there is the Day 2 Greenwich to Woolwich, Day3 Huntleys Point to Balmain, and Day 4 Balmain to Circular Quay.
For desperate walkers, I advise, to go to a search engine,- you know, your best friend,- type in the Sydney Harbour Circle walk, and you'll have the answer right away. It contains all the necessary information and provides maps as well for your trip. Unfortunately, the Tripadvisor Guideline doesn't let me give this website, but you can find it easily.

Walk, walk, and walk some more or if you are unable to and carrying an injury or require wheelchair assistance do not let that get in your way. We walked around to Garden Island (the Naval Base) and then some - it can be as long or as short as you like but at least give it a go as it is in the "doing" that you are able to soak in every life affirming moment. This walk will restore your soul if you are weary of heart or are carrying burdens that weigh upon you - it gives you time to think or to just be and I loved every moment of it, as I am speaking from personal experience.

If you want to take in many of the sights, stay in Darling Harbor then walk over from there and back again. Along the way you can shop and grab a bite to eat.

Hello, I'm interested in doing the 4 day harbour circle walk. I would like to know about accommodation at Greenwich, woolwich and Balmain. Also good places to eat on the track. Thanks in advance, Victoria

Greenwich is basically a residential suburb of Sydney; similarly Woolwich.
Look at Google maps or similar to observe.
Suggest you look at Trip Advisor for places to stay or try bnb.
Best wishes,
a beautiful walk.
