We had a lovely sunny day and walk from Opera house - warning parking is a Horrendous price- but the park and attractions were fabulous. Not many parks like this where you walk all round the harbour and waterfront. Some times they have free concerts and also upmarket paid ones- Locals biking- rollerblading everywhere -friendly people- Helps makes Sydney what... More

The opera house is one of the places in Australia that looks really nice and is worth a visit. Just hanging out on the terraces is a day well spend!

This is a walkway located right after the Sydney Opera House. We came on a late winter month but there were already avid joggers in the area.

We actually reverse this course accidentally when we first arrived Sydney. After check-in our hotel, we started to walk toward the harbor and we saw the garden and went in (thinking we take a quick look and go to the harbor after). It turned out it's the Botanic Garden that we went in so we kept walking and enjoying the... More

We took this walk on day one and highly enjoyed it. Beautiful views of the Opera House, bridge and harbor and definitely worth the walk to miss macquarie's point for an amazing juxtaposition of the 3. The Botanic gardens are peaceful and well maintained, ponds of lilypads, metallic sculptures, native birds wandering around, shade and sunny spots, picnic-ers and walkers,... More

The walk from Circular Quay, round the Opera House to the Botanical gardens will prove to anyone why Sydney is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The gardens are fascinating - the trees, the birds and the fish in the ponds are wonderful and the view of the bridge and opera house from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
