It was a straight walk from the Opera House to the Botanic Gardens. The walk way welcomed all to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful gardens. They were celebrating 200 yrs of the Gardens (1816-2016). They also offered a train ride but we chose...More

We visited on the last day of Vivid Sydney, and it was very crowded! There are too many people for us to enjoy the scenery. However some of the lights are nice and instagram worthy though.

We started at the Royal Botanical Gardens, through circular quay, ended up at The Rocks. You can easily spend an entire day doing this. Great photo ops of the Opera House, the Bridge, and The Rocks. Circular Quay is the location that is used for...More

A little undulating, some steep climbs, but an amazing walk. You could walk along the area with loads of food joints, and then some quaint neighbourhoods, and then finally to the botanical garden

I didn't really intend to walk along this path, but it was a pleasant surprise. Great views and atmosphere. I'd recommend it for people who have extra time in Sydney. You also get to walk to Macquarie's Chair which has a great view of the...More

This is a pleasant walk but I don't know if it is worth a review. It isn't far and certainly worth it to see either site.

I plan on driving into Sydney from Katoomba on a Monday morning during mid-January. Would it be ostentatious of me to believe that I can see the harbour front, Opera House, and Botanic Gardens all in one day while still leaving time for lunch, dinner, and checking into an AirBnB nearby?

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

Trying to get a handle on the weather in early April in Sydney. Would appreciate any help. This walk sounds like a 'must do' on our list. We'll be there for three days prior to our cruise, in April, 2016.

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
