A leisurely walk here and you will admire the beauty around you. There are a couple of ways to go around the area. You can easily go to nearby shops, cafes and other tourist attractions.

Take the path by the water or stroll higher up and carry on to Government House and the Botanic Gardens. There is a small train that runs through the area. Lots of green space for picnicking or sit by the water and watch the boats....More

On a clear day in Sydney, this is a real treat. You can get a very close up view and experience the natural beauty of Sydney Harbour.

The Botanic Gardens from the Opera House are lovely. You can walk along the Harbour and various other paths throughout the gardens. It is very large so wear good walking shoes but it is worth it.

Quite an easy walk from Sydney Opera House all the way to Mrs Macquarie's Chair for about 15 minutes. The view of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge is magnificent, and the walk itself is also a great place for joggers.

Our walk through the Botanic Gardens was very lovely. The beauty of all the trees, birds, landscaping and history was just breathtaking. March was a perfect time to visit everything in bloom and the weather was fantastic.

If you go on the Opera house web site it will give you all the shows that are currently on. If you are staying in a hotel the reception or concierge will be able to help you.

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
