Doyles at Watson's Bay is a Sydney Institution & rightly so. Their takeaway fish & chips are the best, but equally as good is the beach front restaurant. A very civilised way to spend an afternoon.

When visiting Sydney, take the time to get out on the harbour and get to Watsons Bay. When Sydney is shining...it is a very special spot.
It's a pleasant 20 minute ferry trip from the quays to get there.Once there take a walk up the paths for some great views of the area. There are plenty of cafes for refreshments and instead of getting the ferry back take a bus ride. It's much...More

Take the ferry over and drop into Doyles for a coffee and a pastry. Super friendly. Walk along the beach and walk to the cove to the left of the ferry. Beautiful area and views on the way.
Wow, What an amazing view! Fab visit just for the beach/boat view. Nice little bay but avoid Doyle’s on the beach as pretentious.
A quick walk from the ferry terminal you can get a great view of the coastline that forms the South Head. Well worth the walk up the hill.
Watson's Bay has plenty of waterside restaurants and bars to hang out at and enjoy the views. Grab a bite and a few drinks before walking along the beach or through the nearby park.
Nice little bay. Lovely beach with lots of moored boats. Avoid the overpriced restaurants, take picnic and sit on the beach. Lovely harbour cruise to there on the ferries.
Head to Watson's Bay for Lunch at the pier or the famous Doyle's on the beach. It's a very picturesque spot with a view of downtown Sydney in the distance. The food is exceptional at either place. Be sure to check the ferry schedule so...More
