Awesome architecture

Awesome building with lots of cool boutique style shops and great architecture. Almost like a church to shopping. It's cool to look Around.

Many restaurants and takeaway food shops are found here. Lots of clothing stores and accessories stores. Handful of Cafe's are located nearby. Closer to the Townhall, train station and buses. A major supermarket is also across the road from QVB.

I had always admired the jewelry shop Swarovski so we went in for a look. Well we had the biggest pretty woman experience. YES we were snubbed and no i did... More

Beautiful building. Worth visiting even if you are not a shopper. If shopping is your thing, this is for you. Mostly clothing, shoes and bags. Some nice specialty stores. Good food area. Must try the freshly roasted nuts.

I love meeting friends here for a lunch at Palace Tea Room. The building is such an iconic location and the hoards of tourists and locals alike make for excellent people watching. A great place to grab lunch or coffee while you're out and about in CBD and definitely worth the visit for tourists.

After passing this building while taking a city tour. My wife and I just had to explore it. It is a beautiful building with a lot of character. There are many expensive shops to visit, so even if you are "just looking" plan for at least a 2 hour visit.

Totally loved walking through the building. It's old and full of character. But the shops are quite high end so I didn't buy anything (haha).

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
