Such a stunning building! Fun to have a stroll through. Shops are varied, some a bit more old-fashioned, others more hip. Something for everyone.

I just love going to this Building. The QV Basement is great if you want kitchen equipment and they also have some lovely glassware and cups and saucers. Very good quality and very reasonable prices. A great place to shop if you are looking for a Wedding gift. There are a range of speciality shops as well. There is also... More

The QVB and Town Hall next door are a testimony to what Sydney looked liked before globalized glass and steel towers took up the skyline

This mall has been in place for many years and is a favourite spot for visitors with many restaurants and coffee places, high end shops and a clock from which figures appear as it strikes the hour. for me I go there each time I am in Sydney.

A historical site with many updates and great shopping. I love how the Aussies make use of the underground spaces. Everyone we met was friendly and accommodating. Stay a while and watch the clocks chime, hard to believe their age.

Great range and diverse shopping location. Lots of floors full of all sorts of goodies - food and beverage included. Wonderful tourist venue too. Check out the antique print and map shop - hidden treasure! Recommended.

Magnificent building , inside shops . I'm not sure it's worth the visit. It is situated in a key location in central business district .

QVB is definitely worth visiting. Not only is it beautifully restored, but lots of shops and lots of cafes. Plus it connects underground to the other side of the busy George Street, where there are more shops. Worth exploring and the visit.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
